The ZF Women’s Ministry Team is committed to the biblical vision of true community, which includes living out the "one anothers" of Scripture together (love, encourage, forgive, etc.). God’s Word instructs us toward an ongoing ethos of discipleship as we seek to help one another know, follow, and become like Jesus. These kinds of relationships are mutually beneficial, build up the body of Christ, and make much of the Gospel.
Practically this involves: 1) women of all ages and experiences opening Scripture together to study and learn, 2) older women teaching and training younger women, and 3) making intentional efforts to connect and invest in the lives of other women, being “mutually encouraged by one another’s faith.”
While the primary places for these to happen are in small groups and intentional friendships, we also plan ministries and events to help encourage these connections. These various opportunities are intended to help foster meaningful relationships and be equipped in the Word.
A newsletter specific to Women's Ministries is emailed out on a monthly basis. This is a great way to stay in touch with the most current information on Women's Events. If you are not on this email list and would like to be, please email (office@zionsvillefellowship.org) to sign up!
During the summer months, when Habits of the Heart is not in session, we offer several opportunities for women to participate in Summer Bible Studies together. Generally, 3-4 intergenerational studies take place at varied times in an attempt to accommodate a variety of schedules and almost always meet in homes. The studies themselves are generally around 8 weeks long and take an in-depth look at a book of the Bible or a Scripture-saturated topical book. Summer studies provide a wonderful opportunity for connection, fellowship, hospitality and equipping in the Word.
Want to study your Bible with women of all ages? Invite your friends, neighbors, family and co-workers and join us at Habits of the Heart, our women’s Bible study ministry. This year we will be studying the Gospel of Mark. Through the lens of Mark, we learn who the real Jesus is and what His Kingdom is like. In this study of the life of Christ, we will be challenged to understand Jesus’ mission and purpose and what it means to follow Him.
Here are the details:
We meet at Zionsville Fellowship Church on Wednesday mornings from 9:15-11:15 AM and in the evenings from 7:00-8:15 PM. Infant and toddler care is offered for the morning session as well as preschool Bible classes. We also offer an elementary-age class for children attending with their mothers or grandmothers. The elementary-age class is currently FULL. The registration form has a section to add your elementary-age children to the waitlist. The children will also study the Gospel of Mark in a format specifically designed for them. Our time together will vary but can include video and live teaching, singing, and intergenerational small group discussions.
We will begin the semester on September 11th and end on March 12th. You can REGISTER HERE.

Please join us in making our motherhood significant as we explore this year’s theme “Flourishing in Motherhood.” We will explore a variety of topics such as marriage, discipline, mealtimes, relationships and many more!
We will meet on two Fridays a month from 9:15 - 11:15 AM. Please feel free to invite other moms! Click here to register your children so that we can best serve their needs. Our Mugs & Muffins mornings are special events that take place twice a year (once during the spring and fall semesters respectively). We meet at the church building on a Saturday morning from 9:00-11:00 am to fellowship and grow together around a specific topic. Topics are varied and our time together always includes coffee, brunch, a speaker or panel of speakers and a craft with a time of discussion and fellowship.
Progressive Dinners are a new tradition that we have begun in the Women's Ministry. Our first Progressive Dinner took place on a Monday evening in the Fall of 2022 and was a sweet time of forging connections and relationships with sisters in Christ.
A progressive dinner is an opportunity for you to have an appetizer, main meal and dessert in two women's homes. These homes are in close proximity to each other which allows for short and fun transitions between courses. It will be a sweet opportunity for relational depth to happen among women you may already know and for those that you may meet for the first time. You don't need to bring any food to this event, simply show up and enjoy. You will be notified by email before the dinner on which neighborhood you will be attending and which house you will be starting your meal.
Join us at Zionsville Fellowship the weekend of February 28-March 1, 2025 for our annual Women's Retreat. Come prepared to grow in your love of God through His Word, pray, sing, meet new people, and enjoy good conversation. Women ages 13 and up, as well as moms with babies approximately six months and younger, are encouraged to attend the retreat!
Retreat Theme:
Our retreat theme is ONE. Here is a brief description of the content: John 17 is the longest recorded interaction between two members of the Trinity in all of Scripture! It is the prayer Jesus prayed on the night before his crucifixion. In it, he prays that his Father would unite us to himself, unite us with each other, and use our unity as a witness to the watching world. Join us as we seek to better understand what Jesus meant when he prayed that we would all “be one” and how we are to live that one-ness out in our lives. This retreat is focused on God’s eternal plan to save a people — from every tribe, tongue, and nation — for himself. This beautiful group of redeemed people are called to live in visible unity as they proclaim the excellencies of the God who called them out of darkness into glorious light.
Retreat Speaker:
Courtney Doctor is an author, Bible teacher, frequent conference and retreat speaker, and periodic blogger. She received an MDiv from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2013 and is a Bible teacher and author of several books and Bible studies including From Garden to Glory: How Understanding God's Story Changes Yours (2024); Steadfast: A Devotional Bible Study on the Book of James (2019); and In View of God's Mercies: The Gift of the Gospel in Romans (2022). She currently serves as the Director of Women's Initiatives for The Gospel Coalition. Her greatest desire in all of this is to be able to faithfully study, apply, and teach the word of God and help others to do the same. God has blessed Courtney and her husband, Craig, with four wonderful children, three great kids-in-law, five sweet grandchildren — and their much-loved, goofy dog, Walter.
