Great White North | january 17-20

Great White North is a high school winter retreat held at Fort Wilderness in Wisconsin and organized by the Zionsville Fellowship high school ministry. The purpose of this retreat is to help students explore who Jesus is and consider what it means to follow him, all while enjoying the beautiful and fun-filled setting of the Northwoods. We are excited you are interested in attending!

The dates for this year's trip are January 17-20, 2025, and the cost will be $300 per student ($200 for additional family members).

We typically have more students wanting to attend GWN than we have spots available for the trip. Because of this, we are asking everyone who wants to go to submit an application. We will do our best to take as many students as we possibly can.

The deadline to submit an application is Friday, October 25. We will let applicants know their status no later than November 8. At that point, students who have secured a spot will need to register and submit a deposit. Everyone else will be placed on a waiting list.

Here are the criteria we use in evaluating applications.

 1. We guarantee spots for applicants who are connected to Zionsville Fellowship or who regularly attend our youth ministry gatherings.

 2. We give priority consideration to students who are invited by a ZF student.

 3. If we hear from a small group leader that their group of students is seeking to attend GWN, we will try to accommodate that.

 4. For all other applicants, the main thing we are looking for on their applications is an indication that you have some level of interest in growing in their faith or exploring Christianity. This does not mean you have to be a Christian or attend church regularly. We simply believe students get the most out of GWN when they are attending with a sense of purpose and buy-in for the spiritual component of the retreat, regardless of their religious background. As we read applications, we are looking for thoughtfulness and meaningful specificity in your answers to the questions.

5 Finally, after the criteria above have been considered, we may give some preference to seniors
